Two in court after 21-year-old 'beaten and burned with an iron'

The attack took place on Thursday this week.

TWO MEN WILL appear in a Northern Ireland court this morning over the false imprisonment of a 21-year-old earlier this week.

He was held against his will for a number of hours at house on the Coleraine Road area of Portstewart, the PSNI said, and assaulted.

His injuries included bruising and burns from an iron.

Two men, aged 23 and 25, will appear before Ballymena Magistrates court this morning charged with a number of offences including false imprisonment, attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and theft.
