23-year-old woman killed in Dundalk car crash

The female driver had been air-lifted by helicopter to hospital in Newry where she died of her injuries.

A 23-YEAR-OLD WOMAN has died following a fatal car crash in Dundalk in Louth.

The collision involving two cars happened at Glenmore in Riverstown just before 10am on Monday morning. The 23-year-old driver of one of the cars was seriously injured in the crash and was air-lifted by a coastguard helicopter to Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry.

She died of her injuries last night.

A passenger who was in the car with the victim was brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, along with the driver of the second vehicle. Both were treated for minor injuries.
