25-year-old arrested after loaded firearm found at house in Louth

Assorted ammunition was also found at the premises.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED one man following a search of a house in Louth last night.

During the search of the premises in the Riverside area of Dundalk, detectives discovered a loaded firearm and a number of different forms of ammunition.

A 25-year-old man was arrested at the scene by gardaí and is currently being detailed at Dundalk Garda Station.

An investigation into the discovery continues.
