36-year-old killed in Wicklow car crash

A pedestrian dies after being struck by a car on the N11, in the early hours of the morning.

A MAN HAS DIED in a Dublin hospital after an early-morning crash in Wicklow.

The man, a pedestrian, was struck by a car at about 4:30am near White’s Cross on the N11.

Emergency services were summoned immediately and the man was brought to St Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin, where he died earlier this afternoon.

The southbound lane of the N11 had been sealed off for some time, but has since been reopened. Gardaí in Blackrock are investigating the incident.
