40 jobs announced by Cork IT firm

Itron Inc will hire the staff in accounting and financial positions.

AN IT COMPANY has said it will create 40 jobs at a new centre in Cork.

Itron, Inc., a technology and services company dedicated to the resourceful use of energy and water, is establishing a global business services centre in Cork, creating up to 40 jobs by the end of this year.

The investment is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

Itron is a global company headquartered in the US, but has deep roots in Europe, including various manufacturing and professional centres located throughout Western and Eastern Europe.

The company is seeking experienced professionals to join its Cork team in its new facility in City Gate Park in Mahon. Positions will include accounting, financial controls and financial administration.
