2. #TAXMAN Communications billionaire Denis O’Brien will not have to pay a tax bill of €57 million after a court upheld a decision that he was not resident in Ireland during the sale of Esat Digifone.

3. #DÁIL BAR Nearly €7,000 was spent in the two Dáil bars on the night of the abortion debate. The private bar also had an outstanding tab of over €11,000 at the end of June.

4. # BAILIEBOROUGH Gardaí are appealing for information on the death of a 54-year-old woman in Cavan which led to a siege in the town of Bailieborough.

5. #HOME BIRTH Both sides are to pay their own legal fees in the high court case of a woman seeking a home birth leaving her with a bill of €10,000.

    who will pay for D.O,Brien case is it the state. ??? i take it is well why did they take to the courts what advice were the given

    What do you mean an outstanding tab? Will the taxpayer have to pay for this as an expense?
