2. #SAVITA: The husband of Savita Halappanavar has revealed that he receives abusive letters from those campaigning on the abortion issue in his first interview since the HSE report into his wife’s death last October. Praveen Halappanavar told RTÉ Radio this morning that the letters are “hurtful and abusive”.

3. #PROPERTY AUCTION: An auction of distressed property at a hotel in Dublin had to be halted today after protestors occupied the venue for around an hour over. A developer being pursued by Ulster Banks explained to TheJournal.ie why his group were demonstrating.

4. #RIP: The singer and actress Bernie Nolan has died following a three-year battle with cancer. The 52 year-old member of the hugely successful Nolan Sisters was first diagnosed with the illness in 2010. She also starred in long-running soaps including Brookside and The Bill.

5 #LOTTO MONEY: Ireland’s rich list has a new member as the winner of the €94 million EuroMillions jackpot came forward and claimed their prize today. The winner has remained anonymous but is “absolutely thrilled” with the win. We bet they are…
