3. #PERU: A prosecutor in Peru has rejected a guilty plea by Michaella McCollum Connolly and Melissa Reid and said they will need to make fuller confessions if they hope to have their sentences reduced after being charged with attempting to smuggle 11 kilograms of cocaine out of Peru.

4. #FUNERAL: The funeral of murdered 5-year-old April Jones has taken place in Wales, five days before the first anniversary of her murder. The child’s body has never been found. Paedophile Mark Bridger was convicted of her murder in May and sentenced to life in prison.

5. #JOBSWATCH: Computer giant Dell is to create 300 jobs in Dublin with the launch of its latest venture: a bank. Taoiseach Enda Kenny said it was a “great vote of confidence” in Ireland to have Dell locate the bank here.
