56 jobs to be created by pet product company

Radio Systems Corporation, which makes products like bark control collars, will set up its European head office in Dundalk.

A COMPANY which manufactures products for domestic pets is to create 56 jobs in Dundalk with the establishment of its new European head office in the Co Louth town.

Radio Systems Corporation will create the jobs over the next three years – with almost half of them being created in the next three months.

The facility, which is to open fully by January, will be the base for RSC’s multilingual customer services, finance, order management and human resources operations.

Radio Systems Corporation chief executive Randy Boyd said the company planned to make Ireland “the centre of its European expansion, mirroring our structure in the USA”.

Jobs minister Richard Bruton, announcing the news, said the announcement was “another good investment for the North East”.

“By continued implementation of the Action Plan for Jobs we can accelerate the transition currently underway in the economy and create the jobs and growth we need,” he said.

The investment is being supported by IDA Ireland, whose chief executive Barry O’Leary commented that the development was “excellent news for Dundalk and the entire North-East region, stretching across Counties Cavan, Louth and Monaghan”.

Those counties had the opportunity to benefit from the RSC investment, and from its continued growth, in the coming years.
