What can I get in Ireland right now... for €575,000?

From east to west, here’s what’s on offer right now.

STAYING WITHIN BUDGET is one of the trickiest things to do when it comes to buying a new home. But worry not, we’re here to give you a hand.

Each week, we round up four properties, within a certain price range, so you can keep your funds in check. Read on for our selection of homes around Ireland, right now, that are going for €575,000.

Ballygarvan, Co Cork

The Meadows is a four-bedroom family home that’s seen a recent extension onto its original structure that dates back to 1903. The three large rooms, on the ground floor, include a nicely zoned open plan kitchen, living and dining room with a vaulted ceiling. Each bedroom is a double – one resides on the ground floor while the remaining three make up the first floor. The master enjoys an en suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe.

Located in Ballygarvan, on a site with a southern orientation, Cork city is just 10km away, while the quaint village of Ballygarvan sits just a mile down the road.

Dungarvan, Co Waterford

Located in the sunny southeast, this family home in Friar’s Walk is an elegant three-bed that doesn’t hold back on space and privacy. Downstairs, bay windows let the natural light flood into the lounges. Impressive eight foot high ceilings make a real impact, while the open plan kitchen and dining room, along with a separate utility room, ensure even more room to manoeuvre. Double doors from the kitchen lead to the spacious back garden.

Friar’s Walk is in the Abbeyside area of Dungarvan meaning the beach is close by. Schools, shops and restaurants are all just minutes from this family home.

Enniskerry, Co Wicklow

Fans of home makeover TV shows may recognise Glendale for its starring role in RTE’s Room to Improve. This four-bed family home looks onto the Sugar Loaf and is surrounded by countryside, which is further enhanced by this home’s south-easterly facing aspect. In this respect, it can sit in the sunshine throughout a summer’s day.

Inside, there’s an open plan living room with double doors that lead to a patio area. There’s even a fully-fitted bar for any discerning entertainers. Two double bedrooms sit downstairs as well as upstairs.

Parking isn’t a problem, either, as Glendale lies on a site that spans almost a quarter of an acre.

Salthill, Co Galway

A detached property sitting outside Galway city, 1 Carragh Drive is an impressive five-bed home that offers views towards Galway Bay thanks to an elevated site. Spanning 2,300 sq ft, the rooms are large and light-filled. The open plan kitchen and dining room has no shortage of storage and enjoys a three-panelled skylight that really opens up the space. Five large bedrooms come complete with fitted wardrobes and there’s an en suite bathroom off the master bedroom.

Local primary and secondary schools are just short walks away from 1 Carragh Drive.  Regular public transport gives easy access to the heart of Galway city and the surrounding areas. This development of large family homes is also walking distance from Salthill Promenade and Galway Golf Club.
