60-year-old man charged with assault and threatening to kill

It happened on a street in Armagh on Sunday night.

A 60-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with common assault and making threats to kill after a man was assaulted in Armagh on Sunday night.

The 54-year-old man was assaulted on Tandragee Road, Markethill around 7pm.

Police then arrested a 60 year man in the Dungannon area just after midnight.

He is expected to appear at Armagh Magistrates Court on 28 July.

As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
