Harvey Norman and Carphone Warehouse to create 80 new jobs

The “store-within-a-store” concept will see 11 new Carphone Warehouse concessions set up within Harvey Norman stores.

A COLLABORATION BETWEEN electronics giant Harvey Norman and mobile phone store Carphone Warehouse will see 80 jobs created across the country in coming weeks.

The partnership will see 11 Carphone Warehouse stores opening within existing Harvey Norman outlets.

The announcement follows the success of a Carphone Warehouse ‘store-in-store’ at Harvey Norman, Airside Retail Park in Swords which was launched last year.

The collaboration will see a further 11 new Carphone Warehouse outlets opening at Harvey Norman Computer departments stores nationwide beginning with the first two stores at Harvey Norman Blanchardstown Retail Park and at Nutgrove Retail Park this week.

There will also be stores in:

  • Carrickmines, Dublin
  • Kinsale Road and Little Island, Cork
  • Drogheda Retail Park
  • Newhall Retail Park Naas
  • Butlerstown Retail Park, Waterford
  • City East Retail Park, Limerick
  • Manor West Retail Park, Tralee
  • Castlebar Retail Park

Commenting on the partnership, Peter Scott, MD Carphone Warehouse Ireland said: “This is a very exciting partnership for Carphone Warehouse. With retail stores in every county of Ireland, we are dedicated to supporting the economy and the ongoing creation of new jobs.”
