The 9 at 9 The nine stories you need to know as you start your day.

EVERY MORNING, TheJournal.ie brings you the nine stories you need to know as you start your day.

1. #TAXI DISPUTE: The taxi service at Dublin Airport has resumed this morning after a deal to end the dispute over parking spaces was accepted by drivers. Taxi drivers returned to the ranks outside the two terminals just after 8.15am after a night of discussions between the five taxi representative bodies and Dublin Airport management.

2. #LANCE ARMSTRONG: Lance Armstrong looks set to be stripped of his seven Tour de France titles after the cyclist announced he will no longer fight the drug charges that have clouded his legacy. The US Anti-Doping Agency said Armstrong will be barred from cycling for life. Armstrong continues to deny ever using performance-enhancing drugs and called the case against him “an unconstitutional witch hunt”.

3. #JAMES SHEEHAN: Gardaí have confirmed that the body found in the Avoca River in Wicklow last night has been formally identified as missing 18-year-old James Sheehan. The teenager went missing in the early hours of Sunday morning after a night out with friends. A post mortem will take place this morning at Loughlinstown Hospital.

4. #BREIVIK: Anders Behring Breivik has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for killing 77 people and wounding more than 240 in bomb and gun attacks in Norway last year. A panel of five judges ruled unanimously that Breivik is criminally sane and must therefore serve his sentence in prison.

5. #ANGLO: The Irish Bank Resolution Corporation, formerly known as Anglo Irish Bank, has announced a €724 million loss for the first six months of the year. CEO Mike Aynsley said that despite the huge challenges in the Irish economy, there has been “relative operational stability” and “steady progress towards the orderly wind down of the bank”.

6. #PRIORY HALL: Ten months on since the residents of Priory Hall in Dublin were evacuated from their homes, new photos show the complex to have deteriorated significantly with mould, damp, and rats all present in the apartments.

7. #PRSI: A plan by the government that would see business owners allowed to pay a voluntary additional PRSI payment may be too costly to implement. The Department of Social Protection has said that any decision made about voluntary PRSI contributions would have to be considered within a budgetary context.

8. #BREAKING UP: After 26 years, Bill Cullen and Renault have gone their separate ways by mutual agreement, reports the Irish Examiner. The Bill Cullen Motor Group will no longer be Renault dealers from 31 August 2012 in the two remaining franchises run by the Apprentice star. It is unclear what will happen to the 60 employees of the Dublin showrooms.

9. #UNLUCKY 13: The government looks set to bring in a new system for car number plates next year to avoid having to put ’13′ on car licence plates. The Irish Independent reports that industry lobby groups had feared that a registration number beginning with ’13′ would have badly affected car sales. Unlucky for some…

Personally I have a Z3 and find the screen well big enough, any bigger would for me just be a pain to carry around, but it’s personal choice really,

I have a note 4 and it is a great phone. Size isn’t a problem… in fact I look at the iPhone 5 or regular 6 and they look way too small now.

My point is you get accustomed very very quickly to the larger screen size.

I have never used pure android but find the Samsung stuff really good so far.

Completely agree. At half the price of the above phone, don’t understand how ppl can justify it. Really hope the OnePlus drives down the cost of the rest of the phone.

The current 6 is poor. Loose screen and shadow on the screen.

I use an LG G2 32GB, paid €260 online. Superb phone, decent screen, great camera, awesome battery life…voted best smartphone of 2013. Can’t recommend highly enough :)

It is not the size what matters, it is what you do with it.

Clearly you never used one. I had the S4 Google Play Edition and it was amazingly smooth, fast and simple. The big bonus for me was that it was free of Samsung ‘s bloated software. While it was simple (but still customisable but not to the extent of samsung), the software was so good that I didn’t feel the need to change every nook and cranny.

I happened to break that one so I bought an S4 again(2 months ago!!) and rooted it with the software. It’s even better when rooted. And it’s just as fast as the new phones now. Not bad for a 2yr old phone.

My original nexus 5′s battery died while still within warranty and Google were very quick to send a replacement to me so kudos to them and that’s another good reason to purchase a handset from the play store. It’s still a very zippy phone after the lollipop update and I have to admit I’m delighted with it. Being free of carrier and manufacturer bloatware is a bonus, although Google have gone to town with their own car seat of apps, which, incidentally, you are unable to uninstall. The 6 is a bit too phablet for me personally. My best mate has the oneplus one and although it is very cool, it’s just too bloody big!!!

I could get the G3 (2015) and spend an extra 400 euro for essentially the same phone (give or take a few tweaks) but that woyld be pretty brain dead.

None of the networks are carrying it.
I’d switch to bill pay in a heartbeat if they have this phone :(
