1. #HUMAN ARM: Investigations are under way after a human arm was found in Clonee, Co Meath yesterday evening. Searches have resumed this morning after the scene was sealed off before darkness fell last night.

2. #PROPERTY TAX: Pressure is growing on the Revenue Commissioners to defer the deadline for homeowners to choose the method by which they want to pay the property tax. In the last 24 hours, several senior politicians, including Leo Varadkar and Eamon Gilmore, have expressed confusion and unhappiness with the letters sent out in recent weeks.

3. #WATER RESTRICTIONS: Water restrictions are being lifted across the Greater Dublin area this morning but will remain in place between 8pm and 7am until Thursday as restaurants call for compensation for lost business.

4. #LAX: Police in the United States are investigating the motive behind an attack at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) which left one dead and several injured yesterday. The shooter has been identified as Paul Anthony Ciancia.

5. #GARDA: An investigation has been launched into the death of a retired garda who was assaulted at his home last weekend. RTÉ reports that Seamus Marren was attacked last Saturday and was discharged the following day, however he took ill on Thursday and later died.

6. #BLASPHEMY: The Constitutional Convention will debate the possible removal of the offence of blasphemy from Bunreacht na hÉireann at a meeting in Dublin which begins today.

7. #ABORTION: The largest provider of abortions in Britain says the Irish government should “stop washing its hands” of women who travel abroad for abortions.

8. #OBESITY: Mexico has imposed tough new taxes on junk food and sugary drinks to tackle an obesity problem that is worse than in the US, the Guardian reports today. Meanwhile, the Irish Heart Foundation says that celebs and sports stars should not be advertising sugary drinks aimed at young people.

9. #MARTY AND KEANO: It looks like Martin O’Neill will be appointed the new Ireland soccer boss in the coming days but the big surprise is that Roy Keane could be his assistant with several reports this morning that this is now likely to happen. TheScore.ie wants to know what you think.
