The extensive investigation into her true identity has cost the state an estimated €350,000.

4. #CHRISTMAS: The Deloitte Christmas Spending Survey predicts that Irish people will spend about €1.5 billion on food, drink and gifts this year – the highest amount of any European country, says the Irish Examiner.

5. #COURTS: A High Court judge has said he was ‘improperly’ asked about his ruling in a custody battle by a Circuit Court judge following an inquiry by a Dáil deputy in 2010, reports the Irish Times.
