Two men arrested after three violent robberies in Dublin city centre this morning

Two men were arrested as they were attacking a woman.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested after a number of violent robberies in Dublin city centre this morning.

The three separate incidents all happened on Abbey Street Lower at around 7am.

One man had his phone stolen after being attacked by two men on the street.

Soon afterwards a woman who was standing at a bus stop was attacked when two men tried to steal her handbag.

A garda spokesperson told TheJournal.ie that two men were arrested during the attack.

Property was recovered from the two men and gardaí discovered that there had been a third robbery when they found a phone and wallet belonging to another man.

Two men, both aged in their 20s, are being held at Store Street Garda station.

All the property was recovered following the arrests.
