Sinn Féin TD's son Lorcan Ó Snodaigh found safe and well

Lorcan Ó Snodaigh had been missing since an incident in which his brother Fearghal was stabbed on Sunday night.

Updated 6.20pm

THE SON OF Sinn Féin TD Aengus Ó Snodaigh has been found safe and well.

Lorcan Ó Snodaigh had been missing since Sunday night. Earlier today, his father had issued an appeal for information.

The Dublin South-Central TD wrote on his Facebook page : “If anyone sees Lorcan, let me know. He is probably still around Dublin”.

Lorcan had been missing since an incident in the family home in which his teenage brother, Fearghal, was stabbed.

In an update this evening, Ó Snodaigh appealed for privacy for his family as it deals with the “trauma of the last few days”.

“My son Lorcán has been found safe,” he said.

I want to thank friends, comrades, members of the public, the Gardaí and the many more people unknown to me who helped myself and my family to search for Lorcán over the last few days.

Fearghal has been in a serious condition in hospital since the stabbing but his father said yesterday that he is “recovering well”.

This incident happened just after midnight on Sunday at the family home in Bluebell in south Dublin.

The teenager was treated at the scene before being brought to St James’s Hospital.

Gardaí at Kilmainham are investigating the incident and say the suspect fled the scene.
