Aer Lingus CEO earned €1.32m last year

Christopher Mueller recieved €1.32 million in salary and benefits last year – €483,000 of which was paid in performance-related bonuses.

THE CHIEF OF Aer Lingus was paid €1.32 million for his work last year - €483,000 of which was paid in performance-related bonuses, according to the airline’s annual report.

After his first full year with the company, Christopher Mueller also stands to gain from a long term investment plan and his employment terms, which are valued at almost €350,000.

The airline’s chairman, Colm Barrington, received €126,000 last year – which was €20,000 less than he earned in the previous year.

Meanwhile, Aer Lingus has warned that higher fuel costs will rise in 2011 due to the precarious economic climate, increased airport charges and spiking fuel costs.
