TWO PEOPLE HAD to be hospitalised after they were tied up and their home was burgled by five masked men in Northern Ireland.

The aggravated burglary happened in Banbridge in Down just after 10pm last night when the gang entered the house. One of the men was armed with a gun.

The gang tied up the man and woman who were in the house, and hit the man with the firearm. Police in Northern Ireland said an undisclosed sum of money was taken during the incident.
