Four robbers burst into home where young children present, one woman injured

The incident took place yesterday in Castleblaney, County Monaghan.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING an aggravated burglary at a house in Castleblaney where four young children were present at the time of the incident.

Yesterday, at approximately 5.30pm, four males entered a house at Killycard, Castleblayney, County Monaghan, threatening two women in the home.

Head injuries 

One woman suffered head injuries during the incident. She was later taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda to receive treatment.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses in particular anyone who may have seen a Silver Opel Vectra in the Shercock Road area between 5pm-6pm yesterday.

It is believed a fifth person was driving this car.
