110-year-old's secret to longevity? Drinking three beers a day

She’s a supercentenarian.

WANT TO LIVE until you’re 100? Then you could try taking a leaf out of Agnes Fenton’s book, and drinking three beers and a shot of scotch every day.

Fenton just celebrated her 110th birthday, and told the North Jersey News that she thanks God every day that she’s alive.

However, when asked how she was, she told the reporter “lousy”. That may be because after she turned 105, she wasn’t allowed to drink alcohol – she preferred Miller High Life beer and Johnnie Walker scotch – anymore for health reasons.

Given that studies show that even moderate drinking isn’t good for you, perhaps that’s not a bad thing.

She was born in Mississippi and now resides in Englewood. The city held an Agnes Fenton Day 10 years ago, and did the same on Saturday.

Fenton is said to be in good health, with her doctor telling North Jersey News that she is “amazing”.
