Poll: Should alcohol sponsorships of sporting events be banned?

What do you think?

A NEW REPORT on Irish drinking released today says that people can’t recognise a problem when they have one.

However the Campaign to Stop-Out-Of-Control Drinking report, part-funded by Diageo, makes no mention of sports sponsorships by alcohol brands.

Plans to ban the sponsorships were discussed at length before being dropped earlier this year. But should they have been? Should alcohol have a place in sport?

We’re asking: Should alcohol sponsorships of sporting events be banned?

Poll Results:

No (7203)
Yes (2706)
I don't know (273)
