ALDI IS RECALLING a batch of its Deli Green Pesto due a Salmonella detection.
It’s recalling the batches of Deli Green Pesto with the use-by date 23.11.2018.
This is due to the detection of Salmonella.
Point of sale recall notices will be displayed in Aldi stores.
Meanwhile, Caffreys Confectionary Halloween Bloody Mallows are being recalled as a precautionary measure due to a potential risk of Salmonella contamination of a milk ingredient.
The batch with the best-before date of 30.01.2019 is being recalled.
Consumers are being advised to dispose of the implicated mallows.
No other products have been affected by this particular recall.
The FSAI announced the recalls on its website this afternoon.

Better value but at what price? These stories crop up a lot for Aldi and Tesco.
@Toon Army: Don’t be fooled by brand/badge snobbery. I know for a fact stores like Aldi source a huge amount from quality Irish independent producers, a lot of them supply super valu too, but they charge more for the exact same product with a different packaging.
@The Dons: just because a supplier manufactures products for competing supermarkets does not mean that the ingredients are of the same quality/specification
