TWO BATCHES OF an Aldi rum have been recalled because there might be glass in the bottles.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) said that the batches of Old Hopking White Rum - Lot 531456 and Lot 525856 – have been recalled “on a precautionary basis because the products may contain small fragments of glass”.

Aldi has issued point of sale notices requesting customers who have bought this product to return it to an Aldi store.

It said that no other products or batches are affected by this recall in Ireland.

More information can be found on the FSAI website.
