Signalling issue impacting DART and Northern Commuter services resolved but delays expected

Services are resuming, though subject to delays.

ALL DART AND Northern Commuter services were suspended for a time this evening due to a signalling issue.

However, the issue has since been resolved by Iarnród Éireann’s engineers.

Iarnród Éireann said services are resuming but subject to delays.

Passengers were first alerted to the to the issue shortly before 7pm.

Dublin Bus had been accepting valid rail tickets.

However, at around 7.55pm, Iarnród Éireann said the issue had been resolved and that work was ongoing to move trains onto platforms. 

Minutes later, Iarnród Éireann informed passengers that services were resuming, though subject to delays.

There are currently delays of up to 103 minutes on DART services and of up to 87 minutes on Northern Commuter services.
