An Post managed to deliver this word puzzle to an RTÉ DJ

David Curran has set up a blog where he puts postmen’s problem solving to the test.

IF YOU DIDN’T catch it last weekend, there is a rogue individual out there testing the cognitive processing of An Post workers to its limit.

David Curran has been sending out packages with the addresses that appear scrambled in a variety of different puzzles.

Now, the latest package from Dave has found its way to RTÉ’s The John Murray Show.

The unconventional letter was able to be delivered after a sliding puzzle game had been solved. An Post workers were required to rearrange the squares in the game to reveal the package’s destination.

While the postal service has been taking the packages in good humour, it also made the point that it might be time to “put a muzzle on the puzzle” and allow them to get on with the business of delivering letters.

Speaking to TheJournal.ie last weekend, Curran said, “I think it is amazing how people will try and figure this stuff out.”

On the letters being delivered, Head of Communications for An Post, Anna McHugh, said:

This is yet more proof that we have the smartest, sharpest postal staff in the world. And many would say the most attractive, best-dressed postmen and postwomen too!
The story has been picked up in Europe, with Spanish media reporting on the unusual packages arriving at their intended destinations.
