Appeal for information after elderly pedestrian struck by lorry

The incident occured on Griffith Avenue in north Dublin at around noon yesterday.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses to a serious road traffic incident on Griffith Avenue in Dublin yesterday to come forward.

A man in his 70s was struck by a lorry at around noon yesterday on Griffith Avenue between the junctions at Malahide Road and Philipsburgh Avenue.

The pedestrian was taken to Beaumont Hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have seen the incident or who may have any information to contact them at Clontarf Garda Station on 666 4800, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or through any garda station.
