Appeal for man who went missing on Carlingford Lough

Mark McGowan was in a kayak when he went missing on Monday.

AN APPEAL HAS been made for a man who went missing whilst out on his kayak on Carlingford Lough on Monday.

Mark McGowan, 37, was last seen at around 9.45pm on Monday, 10 October when he went out in his kayak on Carlingford Lough at Ghan Road in Carlingford, Co Louth.

He is described as 5 foot 11 inches in height and of average build. He has blue eyes, bleach blonde hair, and a tattoo of a fighting Irish leprechaun on his arm.

Gardaí have asked that anyone with any information regarding his whereabouts contact them at Carlingford Garda station at 042 937 3102 , the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
