Body of missing Kildare woman Mary Prendergast found

The 61-year-old was last seen by her husband at their home in Naas. Her car was later found in Kilcullen.

THE BODY OF the Kildare woman who went missing yesterday morning was found this morning, Gardaí have confirmed.

Mary Prendergast, 61, was last seen by her husband at the couple’s home in Bluebell, Naas at 8.30am yesterday morning.

Her car, a silver Ford Puma, was then found at Carnalway in Kilcullen at around 9.15pm last night. Gardaí confirmed this afternoon that Prendergast’s body was discovered this morning.

A search had been conducted by local Gardaí who were being assisted by local volunteers, members of the Civil Defence and the Garda Underwater Unit.
