AS THE CAMPAIGN for the presidential election kicks into its first weekend, check out where you can meet the candidates today:

Mary Davis will be canvassing for support at the Ballinasloe Horse Fair in east county Galway, from around 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Seán Gallagher will be launching his campaign at the Royal Hibernian Academy on Ely Place, Dublin at 2.30pm.

Michael D Higgins has no public events scheduled for today.

Martin McGuinness will be in Monaghan town this evening for a rally at the Four Seasons Hotel. He’ll be with supporters including members of the county’s ladies’ football team, who narrowly lost the All-Ireland final last week.

Gay Mitchell has no public events scheduled for today.

David Norris will also be in attendance at the Ballinasloe Horse Fair, though the time has yet to be confirmed.

No information was available on Dana Rosemary Scallon’s schedule at the time of writing.
