Man rescued after falling down cliff at golf club

The man was airlifted to hospital.

A MAN HAS been rescued after falling 40 – 50 feet down rocks at a golf club.

The incident occurred at Ardglass Golf Club in Co Down this evening.

Killkeel, Newcastle and Portaferry coastal rescue teams attended the scene.

Kilkeel coastguard said that the man had fallen some 40 – 50 feet down onto the rocks. He was assessed by paramedics at the bottom of the cliff, before being brought to the top of the cliff.

He was then reassessed before being transferred to a waiting UK Coastguard helicopter.

He was airlifted to hospital in Belfast.
