Man shot in feet in "paramilitary-style shooting"

He was shot in both feet in the nationalist Ardoyne area of Belfast last night.

POLICE IN BELFAST are appealing for information, after what they’re describing as a “paramilitary style” shooting in the nationalist Ardoyne area last night.

It happened in the Havana Walk area, off Ardoyne Avenue.

“Police received a report shortly after 8.20pm that a man had received a gunshot wound to each foot,” Detective Chief Inspector Gary Reid said in a statement.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

“I would ask anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact CID at Tennent Street Police Station on the non emergency number 101.”
