Armagh man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

Two men in Lurgan were take to hospital with stab wounds last night.

A MAN IN Co Armagh has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an attack in Lurgan yesterday.

The 28-year-old man was arrested ofollowing an assault in the Brookvale Walk area at approximately 1.50pm, after police received a report of a disturbance in the area.

One man, aged 21, was taken to hospital for treatment to several stab wounds. His condition is currently described as stable.

Another man, aged 30, was later taken to hospital for treatment to one stab wound. He was later discharged.

The 28-year-old man is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
