Armagh man arrested over dissident republican activity

The 50-year-old was arrested in connection with dissident republican terrorist activity in Lancashire this morning.

A MAN FROM Co Armagh been arrested in England in connection with dissident republican terrorist activity.

Detectives from PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch investigating dissident republican terrorist activity, with the assistance of officers from the North West Counter Terrorism Unit, arrested the 50-year-old man Lancashire this morning.

The suspect, originally from the Lurgan area of Armagh, will now be returned to Northern Ireland for questioning at Antrim Serious Crime Suite.

Police enquiries are continuing.
