Incident involving armed Gardaí in south Dublin comes to a close

The incident is happening on the Cashel Road area in Crumlin.

ARMED GARDAÍ HAVE attended the scene of an incident on Dublin’s southside.

This happened on Cashel Road in the Crumlin area.

It started at around 3pm this afternoon.

Gardaí have not confirmed the exact nature of what happened, but it is believed that there was a stand-off with an armed man.

A number of people have said on social media that a negotiator was present at the scene.

Traffic was delayed for a short time in the local area, but has reopened now.
