Armed raid on Co Kilkenny post office

Two armed raiders escaped from the scene with a small amount of cash, according to gardaí.

GARDAÍ HAVE launched an investigation into a raid on a post office in Glenmore, Co Kilkenny, this morning.

Two men, one armed with a firearm and the other carrying what was described as a hammer, entered the post office at around 10.45am.

They stole a small amount of money from the premises and escaped by car. No one was injured in the incident.

Gardaí in Glenmore are appealing to anyone who may have any information regarding the raid to contact them on 051 880 122. Investigating gardaí can also be contacted through any garda station or via the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
