Two armed robberies took place within 15 minutes of each other last night

The incidents took place in Drogheda and Duleek.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING after two armed robberies took place in Louth last night. 

At around 9pm, three men armed with a shotgun and a large knife threatened staff at a shop on Duleek main street and made off on foot with a sum of cash.

Around 15 minutes later, a shop in Drogheda was targeted by a gang of three men wearing balaclavas and armed with a shotgun and knife.

Staff were again threatened and the men left the shop on Rathmullen Road with cash.

Nobody was injured in either incident.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
