Two men arrested after supermarket staff threatened in armed robbery

Gardaí recovered a car, a firearm and a knife.

TWO MEN HAVE been been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that happened in Ongar Village, Dublin 15 last night.

At around 8.30pm, three men armed with firearms and knives threatened staff in a supermarket and demanded cash.

The raiders then left the scene empty handed in a silver coloured car.

Gardaí attended the scene and carried out a search of the location.

Two men, aged 37 and 40 years, were arrested close to the scene.

Gardaí also recovered a car, a firearm and a knife.

The men are currently being held at Blanchardstown Garda Station.

The scene has been preserved and technically examined.
