23-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

The 28-year-old victim was stabbed in the chest following an incident in North Belfast earlier today.

A 23-YEAR-OLD MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Belfast.

Police in Northern Ireland said the victim, a 28-year-old man, received a stab wound to his chest following an incident in North Belfast earlier today.

He has been taken to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The 23-year-old man was arrested by the PSNI shortly afterwards.  He is currently being questioned by police officers.

The PSNI have appealed for information about the incident which happened in the Glenbryn Park area of Belfast, just off the Ardoyne Road.
