Woman questioned over death of man at Arklow pier is released

31-year-old Orsos Csaba – who was originally from Hungary – died when the car he was in entered the water in March of this year.

A WOMAN IN her 20s, arrested yesterday morning in connection with the death of a man at Arklow Pier in County Wicklow earlier this year, has been released without charge.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

31-year-old Orsos Csaba – who was originally from Hungary – died after the car he was in drove off the pier and entered the water back in March. His body was discovered later, washed up on a beach nearby.

A woman who was in the car with him escaped the vehicle and was treated for shock at St Colmcille’s Hospital in Loughlinstown.

Gardaí detained a woman in her 20s for questioning at around 8.30am yesterday, and she was taken for questioning to Wicklow Garda Station.

A garda spokesperson told TheJournal.ie she had been released overnight.
