Man due in court over gun possession after Garda chase

One of the two men arrested yesterday is to appear before the Courts of Criminal Justice later today.

ONE OF TWO men arrested over possession of guns following a Garda chase in Dublin yesterday is expected in court later today.

The 28-year-old man is expected to appear before the Courts of Criminal Justice in Dublin this morning charged in connection with the incident.

A 19-year-old man who was also arrested in the Crumlin area of the city was released without charge last night.

Detectives on walking patrol on the Crumlin Road yesterday responded to a call in the area and approached two men who both fled.

They were arrested and two firearms, along with ammunition, were recovered.
