Man in his 20s arrested as part of crackdown on organised crime

The man was arrested in Gorey on Sunday.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a man in his 20s as part of an ongoing operation targeting organised crime.

The man was arrested in the Gorey area of Co Wexford on Sunday “on suspicion of enhancing the ability of a criminal organisation to commit or facilitate a serious offence”.

Gardaí from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau carried out the arrest.

The man is currently being detained at a garda station in west Dublin under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
