Man arrested in connection with shooting in Cork

A 41-year-old man was killed during the incident in April.

A MAN HAS been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Cork.

This happened on 26 April at around 4.30pm at a house on Plunkett Road, Ballyphehane.

A 41-year-old male was killed in the shooting and was declared dead at the scene.

A man in his 40s has been arrested in the Cork area this morning and is being held at Togher Garda Station.

He is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

In an original statement gardaí said that they were not looking for anyone in relation to the shooting but that investigations were ongoing.
