Two men arrested for gun possession after Garda chase

Detectives were on patrol on the Crumlin Road when they approached two men who tried to flee.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested for possession of guns following a Garda chase in Dublin.

Detectives were on walking patrol on the Crumlin Road when they responded to a call in the area. They approached two men on the road, who both fled.

The men – one aged 19 and the other aged 28 – were arrested by the detectives,  and two firearms, along with some ammunition, were recovered.

One of the men is being held in Sundrive Road station while the other is detained in Crumlin.

Gardaí said tonight that investigations are ongoing.
