Three arrested after €300,000 worth of drugs seized in Cork

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED two men and a woman following a seizure of drugs in Co Cork.

€175,000 worth of cocaine, €60,000 worth of cannabis herb, and €54,000 worth of ecstasy was seized during a raid at Presentation Terrace in Kinsale on Friday.

The seizure and arrests form part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of controlled substances in the Cork area.

One man and the woman are aged in their 40s, while the other man is aged in his 20s.

The woman and younger man have been released without charge while a file is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The older man will appear at a special sitting of Macroom District Court this evening at 6pm charged in relation to the seizure.
