Third man arrested over fatal shooting at Dublin shopping centre

The two men, both in their 20s, were arrested in Finglas this morning. A third man has now been detained, in Laois.

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING A fatal shooting at a Dublin shopping centre last summer have arrested a third man for questioning, following two arrests in the Finglas area earlier today.

Karl Wynne died of his injuries in Tallaght Hospital on 19 July, seven weeks after he was shot at St Dominic’s Shopping Centre on 30 May.

The 45-year-old  is believed to have been shot in a gangland retribution killing.

Gardaí arrested two men in their 20s in Finglas this morning. The arrests were the first to be made in connection with the killing.

This afternoon, it was confirmed that a third man, aged 31, had also been detained. He was arrested in Laois.

All three are now being questioned under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Tallaght Garda Station.
