Two men due in court over quad bike thefts in Limerick and Cork

A quad bike worth €8,000 was recovered during the arrests in Limerick yesterday.

TWO MEN HAVE been charged in connection with the theft of quad bikes in north Cork and Limerick area over the past year.

Gardaí who have been investigating the theft of quad bikes arrested two men aged 55 and 37 in the Kilmallock area of Co Limerick yesterday evening.

During the arrests, a quad bike worth €8,000 was recovered.

The men have been detained at Newcastlewest and Bruff Garda Stations under the provisions of Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984.

The two are expected to appear before Middleton District Court tomorrow morning to face charges in connection with the investigation.

Gardaí say that they expect more arrests as part of this investigation.
