Gardaí arrest second man in Donaghmede stabbing investigation

22-year-old Shane O’Connor was found lying on the street outside his home last Monday. Gardaí have detained two men in connection with the case.

GARDAÍ IN COOLOCK have arrested a second man in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old outside his home last Monday.

Shane O’Connor was found lying on St Donagh’s Road in Donaghmede just after 7am on 29 October with serious injuries. He was brought to Beaumont Hospital but died a short time later.

One man was arrested yesterday morning in connection with the case. A second man in his mid-20s was arrested last night.

Both men are being held at Coolock Garda Station.
