Young man dies in car crash early this morning

Two men were driving in the car when it drove off the road into a ditch.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING after a man died in a single car crash early this morning in Limerick.

The incident occurred at about 4.15 this morning on the Cappamore to Murroe Road at Dromsallagh, Cappamore, Co Limerick.

Two men were driving in the car when it drove off the road into a ditch.

A man, believed to be in his late-teens or early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second man was taken to University Hospital Limerick.

The road remains closed and Garda forensic collision investigators have begun an examination of the crash site.
