Gardaí investigating after four tourists attacked by gang in Dublin city

One of the victims received a serious eye injury as a result of the attack.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are seeking the public’s help in their investigation after four tourists were attacked in Dublin city earlier this month.

Four people visiting Dublin were assaulted by a group of youths at about 11.40pm on Friday, 9 September on O’Connell Street.

One of the victims received a serious eye injury as a result of the attack.

Gardaí believe one person was initially the victim of a theft in Temple Bar at about 9.30pm that night.

His friends later came across the gang that had stolen the person’s property and managed to take it back from them in Crown Alley in Temple Bar.

The group then made their way from the south side to the northside where they were followed by the gang of youths.

Gardaí said that the group were then assaulted by the gang at Upper O’Connell Street.
